Program Overview
Start your healthcare career with our DSHS-approved 75-hour Home Care Aide (HCA) Training Program. Complete your required training through live online classes and in-person hands-on skills training with experienced instructors.
After successfully completing the program, you’ll be eligible to take the Washington State Home Care Aide certification exam and begin working toward a career as a Home Care Aide.
HCAs may work in home care agencies, adult family homes, assisted living communities, residential care facilities, and other community-based care settings.
Program Length & Schedule
Our 75-Hour Home Care Aide (HCA) Training Program includes 12 live online sessions and 2 in-person Saturday trainings.
Online Classes
Online classes are held Monday through Thursday from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Zoom.

In-Person Training
Students are also required to attend 2 in-person Saturday trainings for hands-on skills practice and instruction.
Your instructor will provide the dates and details for your in-person training.
How Long Does the Program Take?
The HCA program is typically completed in approximately 3 weeks.
Online: Monday–Thursday, 7:00 PM–10:00 PM
In Person: 2 required Saturday trainings
Total Training: 75 hours
Certificate
After successfully completing all required HCA training, your certificate will be sent within 5 business days of course completion.
Additional Classes
Additional classes or certifications, such as CPR or separate Nurse Delegation training, are not part of the regular Monday–Thursday HCA class schedule. If additional training is needed, your instructor will schedule those classes on separate days and provide you with the dates and times.
